Lee Harvey’s: Urban Attitude
What do you get when you combine the city’s most eclectic jukebox (from Porter Wagoner to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club in 60 seconds), gourmet cheeseburgers and a yard dog named Ruby? Meet Lee Harvey’s, Dallas’ chicest shabby dive. This local watering hole where everyone knows your name is a study in contrasts – one look at the bevy of Benzes and BMWs snuggled up to Lee Harvey’s chain-link fence confirms that. But inside, the drinks are flowing, fashion photographer and owner Seth Smith is telling you a story, and the music dulls the edges of the bad day you just forgot. Chef Greg Hutchison keeps this humble haunt’s menu way above standard with everything from panini sandwiches to fresh-made salads. Manager Alan Levy keeps the outdoor fire pits stoked at night.
