"Bacon's Cookbook"



Bacon, Lee Harvey's bar cat, is compiling a cookbook of your favorite recipes to benefit the SPCA of Dallas.

If you're not yet familiar with Bacon, you should be.  He was a scrawny, homeless street kitten that found his way to Lee Harvey's.  The management and staff fell in love with him, and soon he became a well fed and rather rotund cat. He also became a local celebrity of sorts with patrons and, oddly enough, roller derby leagues across the U.S.  Bacon can also claim well over 1500 friends on his myspace and he's also had his picture taken with many famous musicians and movie stars.

In an effort to give back to his community, Bacon has decided to combine his deep appreciation for fine cuisine and helping other animals in his new project... a cookbook!  The proceeds of sales will benefit the SPCA of Dallas. If you would like to help Bacon with his project, it's easy! He needs your favorite recipes. Whether it's a simple tuna salad sandwich or baked Alaska, he wants what you like. Categories will include appetizers, entrees, sides, desserts, and aperitifs.  There will also be two special sections for vegetarian dishes and chili.  And if you would like to submit a picture of you and your dish, that would be even better! Bacon will in no way alter your recipes, but he may make helpful comments and  photoshop himself in your pictures.  His aim is to make this not only a functional cookbook, but very fun!  Remember, it's all for charity!
