Dallas Goes Out With…

More and more of the in-the-know clubbers are heading south of downtown in search of something new and different. One of the spots taking advantage of this migration is Lee Harvey’s. It’s nothing special to look at, with its weathered wood paneled walls and dusty neon beer signs, but Dallas hipsters have taken to the vast outdoor space complete with picnic tables and the much sought after bonfire pit area. Another reason Lee Harvey’s is packing ’em in is their “Dog Day Afternoons.” Every Sunday, the bar opens at 3PM and the dog park dissidents start filing in with Rover in tow. The kitchen, which serves a variety of items including a half-pound burger, panini sandwiches and salads, is open Tuesday through Friday until 10PM. The laid back atmosphere underscores everything at Lee Harvey’s and reminds us that we should “never judge a book by its cover.”
